Les abeilles de Paris

Did you know that one of the most expensive honey in the world is being cultivated above parisian roofs?
That's right!
It is the honey of Opéra Garnier and it is made by the 76 year old ancient opera set-desinger Jean Paucton.

He placed his first hive in 1981 and wanted to have them there only for 2 months and then to take them to his country house, but the bees were just perfectly fine above Paris.

Today he is in the possession of 8 hives with approx. 450 000 bees and in spite of the general presumption of the pollution rates in Paris, his honey has an excellent quality.

It is available at Fauchon for 15 €/ 120gr
