Greatness: Ludwig Mies van der Rohe- Barcelona Chair

Mies van der Rohe sought to establish a new architectural style that would last. His designs are above all rational- he is often associated with the aphorism "less is more".
A companion-sized chair have been developed in 1929 for the German Pavilion. It was the county's entry for the International Exposition of 1929 held in Barcelona, Spain.

Today Knoll claims to be the current licensed manufacturer and holder of all trademarks so if you want, you can get your own piece of XXth century furniture legend for about 1000 EUR.

  1. Barcelona chairs are the fabulous design of Mies Van Der Rohe. Interesting fact that in 1940 only steel used and blank spaces in steel plates. Now leather filled blank space and also steel rest of legs.Nice information shared here.
